The band Migrain was formed in 2019 around singer and guitarist Dušan Masný. The project of four musicians was created with the primary goal of presenting the listeners with music based on unfinished musical ideas and excerpts collected over several years.
Masný took drummer Michal “Mysho” Hájek with him from the previous music project. Later, guitarist Peter “Peco” Kocan (Korn SK, MADE BY) joined. The trio began to slowly form finished compositions from fragments of songs.
Finally, after several changes and guest appearances, in 2023 the trio of musicians was joined by bass guitarist Vladimir Vakov, thanks to whom the rhythm section was once again complete and MIGRAIN could present itself as a complete band and start touring more.
Due to the genre diversity of the individual members and due to the changing musical preferences, as well as the longer time period during which the songs were created, the musical style is adapted to the needs of the individual songs.
However, the band does not strive for a crossover or the creation of a new style, its original intention to move in the territory of alternative rock is preserved in principle. In their repertoire you can find harder songs with metal elements, songs with a faster punk tempos as well as softer melodic songs. Striving for simple honesty is the essence and primitiveness is the basic building block.
The band tries to apply the DIY principle in all aspects, in production, recording, mixing music, making music videos, etc.
Guys are still working on their debut album and has already released three singles with music videos.
